I don't think I'll get to the actual sewing this week - 'tis tricky with nobody to watch the kids, both Allan and Pa are all tied up
But cutting was fun - and it's part of the sewing process
I'm determined, in my quest to sew each week, not to purchase anything new. I had put myself on a fabric buying freeze years ago already. If I use up enough of my cedar chest full, then! I can buy new stuff.
Now, I'm just enjoying giving them some new life and filling my creative urge...

Can your machine do quilting, or do you have to stick with hand-tying your quilts? I took a quilting class years ago, but it was all about the hand stitching. I found out I am terrible at hand stitching! But my machine is fairly old and couldn't handle all the thicknesses for me to machine quilt. So lots of fabric went to Goodwill when I gave up the notion that I was ever going to get around to making the quilt I purchased the materials for.

it is so true about the Fabric buying. My mother in law used to buy fabric like a crazy person and she never did anything with it. Now she buys tons of scrapbooking and cardmaking supplies and does nothing with it. Her newest deal is sitting at home and buying tons of stuff on QVC and then her husband turns around and sends it back. It's insane. Glad to see your making a little quilt. Sorry I got off on a tangent you just jogged my memory about that. Have a nice sunday!

What pretty little piles.. sooo neatly stacked. Although I have to admit that when I scrolled down & seen those cute little feet dancing on the table I wondered if those piles are still so neat tonight. LOL

looks like sew much fun...I can't wait to see the beauty that you create. I am so not the sewing type but I love hearing bout your Sew Saturday's. I was scared off from sewing from my college sewing class-even though the dress I sewed was worn by several of my roommates and hence can't bring myself to embrace it these days.
