Someone please tell my little boys
Because today, we partied.
I've been asked where my first post went - and - well, I deleted it. I was feeling a little down and blue because it's only a four couple party, and after spending a week planning and preparing with the kids, I was really excited and wanted it to be a roaring success - and, well, life happens - and one family ended up not being able to come because of sick kids (same bug we had) - and another ended up sending their kids but not being able to make it themselves. And my kids were bummed, because it was Dennis who was going to have to wear these pink pajamas before he got to use the grill
But I sent the jammies home with his kids and told them to make sure he wears them to bed tonight. I feel certain he will, if only to feel like he was a part of our festivities.
(by the way - just a note, that quilt backdrop there - a junk picking find from my first year of city scavenging. After that - I was completely sold on the beauty of spring cleaning junk picking)
But we did end up having a ball despite half the clan not being able to show. And it meant more brownies and ice cream for the rest of us - proof that there is always a bright side. I'll share more photos of that tomorrow - (i'm tuckered out)
But until then - be careful what you say you're going to accomplish, for certain, or you might find yourself wearing pink pajamas and eating crow
Until tomorrow - when I'll share photos from our frozen t-shirt contest.
