2 gallons of milk
2 bags of boxed raisins
Italian Sausage (a treat that Pa enjoys) (and Mark too - apparently)
2 bags of Halloween candy
6 yogurts (we've never tried this brand - so I didn't buy more...need to test first)
2 loaves of bread
2 steam & mash spuds - we've never tried these, but I was paid a penny per to take them home with me - so I figure they'll be perfect for these single parenting dinners
2 shampoos and 1 hair gel
$17.48
Or remove the milk from the picture and it's $12.48 for all the remains
Not too shabby, worth the extra trip to another store.
Several of you asked last time how I did that.
I'm still using the Grocery Game. (They have a four week trial for a $1) Just after I renewed my subscription, one of my blog readers emailed me of a free service (thank you Peggy!) - and I know that they are out there, and I should look into them - but I have been real pleased with the Grocery Game. I just recently added Krogers to my list - so I now get both Meijers and Krogers - it took me awhile to feel like I could actually swing two shopping trips in one week, but now it's just part of the routine. I only use Krogers for the really good deals, and I use Meijers for my main shopping.
Our local Krog's also doubles up to a dollar, which makes a big difference - several of these items were literally pennies if not free, or in the case of the spuds - I was paid to take them home.
I can live with that.

Not too shabby! I gave up the grocery game about 3 months ago because I just was not ever taking the time to go through the list anymore. But I am thinking about giving it another shot. Awesome job!

that's great, I'm still trying to figure out if the other one I mentioned works as well, but I honestly think it's the fact I only have one store to choose from.

I signed up and got about 7 people at work to sign up too. We are all excited. I went home last night and cut out 3 weeks worth of coupons and hubby and I are gonna clean out the garage this weekend and make room for the stockpile. I am just confused about the thing where it says 10/$10 and then underneath it says buy 1**. So that has me baffled, what is the point of the stock pile if you only buy one? I am gonna go this sunday afternoon after I clip those coupons and have the newest list to go by. It is nice that two of the three stores are close to eachother and the third is just a little farther down the road. We shall see how it goes... Thanks!

I am jealous. I don't think I've ever spent less than 50 dollars for a trip to the grocery and that's even with by one get ones!!
We don't have a krogers down here, we have publix, winn dixie and Sweetbay. I know, weirdo Florida. ;)
