I've taught my kids to go beyond just the basic 'please'. I mean, some opportunities just shouldn't be passed up. Why go half way?
Wendy, for instance, I trained at a young age to say Please Mother Dear you're the best mom ever in the whole wide world. It just makes it that much more fun to get their water and who doesn't need a little ego boost now and then, right? Am I right?
With my little boys I shook it up just a little bit and have trained them to say, Please most beautiful mother in the whole wide world. This is the way things should be, if you ask me. I should rule the world.
Which brings us to just a few minutes ago when they came in asking for lunch.
Mark (3): Please beautiful mother can I have a peanut butter sandwich?
Brian (5): Mark! You forgot to say Whole Wide World!
Do you want that sandwich or not?!
And it was just confirmed - Awesome news! My husband's folks are coming to stay with us for NINE WHOLE DAYS! We haven't seen them since they moved the beginning of last June! I can hardly wait to pick up Wendy from school and tell her!
