I am positively drooling over the house decorating!! Beautiful. Funny that you mentioned me here. I have spent the last three days studying the faces from that photo shoot, and I'm wrapping it up and sending it off tomorrow morning.

It looks like it was a wonderful shower. Makes me want to take a trip down for the wedding.

ALL her sisters!? bless her mama. wow. she must have the patience of a saint.

i just love reading your blog Torm. positively love it. i walk away smiling every time. (might have something to do with feeling like another mom being able to relate to how i feel having daughters so close in age.....oh, that wendy. so much like my ashlyn.)

What great fun to arrive home from an awesome weekend and then relive the fun in you blog -- thank you!!

Of course I meant "your" blog. Must be time for bed.

What fun that you shared this. I don't feel QUITE so bad now that I couldn't be there. The look on Kev's face says he was more surprised than Shannon. Yeah, that Eva's decorating skills just make you smile, don't they? I love color. Looks like we share a common interest there.

"As a general rule, our (meaning our congregation) showers are surprises. This is because we are mostly made up of Finns and because Finns are very squeemish about asking for anything or bringing any attention to themselves."
Had to chuckle at your observation of "Finn's" I have to disagree with you on that one. I think being a Finn has nothing to do with it...as I know lots of Finn's that are not like that I just believe it's one's own personality and not a group of folks...Hey I'm a Finn and I'm not sqeemish about much LOL....love to read your blog!

I about had a heart attack. I thought I recognized a person in one of your pictures! The one of Helen and Ruth...Ruth looks very much like a Ruth I know here in Washington. Wears her hair the same, similar glasses, about the same height. And...I believe she is originally from Michigan. Squeamish Finns? Yeah, I'd fit that description (most of the time) but my oldest sister should be nominated the Squeamish Finn of the Century....
