Yesterday.
Yesterday we woke up to an elf on our kitchen table surrounded by very quaint Santa mugs and sitting upon a note.
The note, which I tucked into a pocket on this page, stated that his name is Louie, and that he's been assigned to our house. It goes on to say that sometimes he brings gifts, sometimes he just causes trouble, sometimes he brings things for us to do that day and sometimes he just hides.
Yesterday he brought us mugs
Today he was hiding in Brian's snowsuit sleeve along with a roll of toilet paper.
oh my
Brian laughed and laughed and laughed. He just can't get over this crazy little elf. MOM! Louie's In My SNOWSUIT!!! With TOILET PAPER!!!
Louie Louie Louie. Tsk. Really?
We don't have any word on if he's just here for this season or if he's ours forever. We'll just play it day by day I guess.

Oh I love your creative elf! We have the actual "Elf on the Shelf" that came with a book from my MIL, ours is named Fisbee (I think that was one of the names in the book, the kids were younger when they picked it and couldn't think of one on their own if I'm remembering correctly). But, our dear Fisbee barely even moves from room to room anymore (that was going to be my post today...or soon (-:). Can you imagine our late tooth fairy and try to manage an elf too!!! (-: I love all the ideas your elf has for activity around the house, maybe next year Fisbee will arrive with a note, this year is a wash for me with my sweet #5 draining my brain and energy cells. Wow, you get lots of reading from me today...hmmm...what else can I type???....o.k., I'll let you go. Have fun Louie!!

I love your little Louie!!!! Our elf Fiona has been visiting our house for the last three years. We love her and my kids still think she's the funniest thing ever!

What a neat idea! We need a Louie here so our poor youngest kid doesn't get blamed for everything that goes on around here :) It's a nice way to bring on the holidays.
