Last evening was our 5 year old's kindergarten program. I love that they do just the kindergarten class, but even then it's crowded. My journaling on this page is written as if directly to Brian and it talks about how we got there a half hour early, and we still had to sit halfway back into the gym. Just how early do those front row seaters get there? I knew I should have sent a kid or two up to the school to save seats (a perk I should be using when we are walkers). I'll have to remember to do that when Mark is up in two years.
The journaling goes on to say that Brian spent most of the program looking for us - not an easy task since the lights are turned out. He was so focused on finding us (I was reading his lips - and I could see him saying to the girl next to him - "I'm trying to find my mom") that he didn't sing quite as well as he practiced.
I was waiting for him to bellow - Mom! Where are you?! Because that's something he does - and I was so prepared to stand up and wave my arms I'm RIGHT HERE BUDDY!!! But he held it in and he did start singing towards the end.
And yes- I have two diamonds. The one on my ring finger is my wedding ring and the one on my middle finger in my engagement ring. I wasn't going to argue.
Because I tend to ramble on in my journaling (and blog posts) I made a little hinge for my journaling page (the journaling paper is the White Ruled Paper from Creative Memories. I keep it very very very handy and I get all sorts of ornery when I run out) and then included another picture on the inside along with the Season's Greeting tag. These were put there more to cover the adhesive and back of the back side of the previous day since that's a clear page, than they were for my own enjoyment - but as it works out - I enjoy them.
The school was also nice enough to print the program in nearly the exact same size as my album, so that will slip right in the middle when I go about binding it.
And if you just want to see my handsome oh so proud five year old....
Gives me a giggle.
And as always - click on the pictures to see them larger if you want to read the real journaling. :)
Have a fabuous weekend!!

I tried not to giggle -- but I wasn't successful.

Actually being able to see him whisper to the girl next to him that he was looking for you made me laugh. That's very sweet.
