December Daily: Day Five

I'm running a little bit behind this morning - which isn't like me for a Monday.  After losing our service last night (that I've since found out was something that happened to a ton of Comcast customers from MN, IL and MI) (But I'm still suspicious of why the neighbor was crawling in our box 10 minutes after we lost service) I then lost my printer as well.  It completely jammed up in the middle of printing and I had to pretty much take it apart this morning to get it all tidied back up and running.

It's working now.

And yes, we put up our tree yesterday.  I had a weak moment.  (we normally put it up next weekend)  I love our pencil tree.  The kids? Not so much.  It's more suited to our living environment though and it's apt to stay up longer because of that.  I can see why the kids miss our bigger fuller tree - but it's okay.  It's been about 8 years or so since we've purchased a real tree and I miss that too - but right now, this is what works for us.

There are a lot of things that I vowed I would never do (fake tree) that make perfect sense to me now as a parent.  It is what it is.

Tonight we'll decorate it. 

At least, that's the plan....

Wendy: Mom, can we put up the Christmas tree when the desk sells? Mom: You bet. Wendy: So when is it going to sell? Mom: Maybe Easter time

We lost our internet last night, which was awesome. Had a bowl of chili and read the entire Sunday paper! (btw, not sure if you saw my nod to your husband's balls on my last post (-:)
