Mark has been doing wonderfully since his outpatient procedure (tubes and adenoids) on Tuesday. No pain, eating like normal (which means he cleans us out) and great attitude and humor. When the hospital called for the follow-up I asked him if they didn't just remove the adenoids, but did they replace them with an energy pill. He's been wired.
He's been good about taking it easy though. He knew no rough housing for two days.
So today I overheard:
Brian (6): Hey Mark, let's rough-house!
Mark (4): But I can't rough-house for two days.
Brian: Oh Darn.
pause. I had to think this through very carefully. I couldn't resist.
Mom: Hey, Mark - it's okay. It's been three days - you can rough-house now.
They both lit up
And they rough-housed
The walls shook
