I was making his cake at about 1am on his birthday. I might have said something along the lines of, "I brought you into this world, why do I have to make you cake too?"
It took him a bit of time to blow out all those candles
My youngest brother and wife came for cake, but not for the lathe
His birthday dinner request was Marco's Pizza. The whole family was happy.
He seems happy with the tether we gifted him with for his birthday, although he wasn't too amused with the numbers we preprogrammed into it for him. He edited the last two letters off of both mommy and daddy. Buzz kill.
His mother also thought it was funny that his back to school packet came on his birthday. Again, he didn't appreciate the humor.
No drivers license yet. We agreed that it kind of makes sense to get a job first so he can afford to pay the insurance and put the gas in the tank. He's turning in a few more applications today. It's not as easy to get a job at 16 as it was ten years ago.
