Did you add any essential oil to it? I find it hard to believe my clothes are clean if I can't smell a scent on them. What did you store your soap in?

Also I 'borrowed' your Finlander joke the other day and put it on my Facebook page and had quite the conversation. Fun! Thanks :)


I usually add lavender. We're out of it right now though, so I've added Rosemary to today's batches. And we have ours stored in a five gallon bucket with a lid. When I mix it, I put the mixed stuff into two old liquid detergent containers.

I am assuming you are happy with how it is cleaning since you have been using it for the last 2 years? Just curious.


That's so funny, I broke down last month for the first time since I've been making laundry soap too. It was the "end of August kids need to get back to school" frazzles that broke me I think! (-:
