Yesterday I cut squares for Brian's heavy quilt.
Brian's turning out to be a real buzz kill when it comes to this project.
He preapproved the fabrics I picked (which meant crawling around in the crawl space and moving spider webs to get to the corduroy boxes) so then I cut, and I cut, and I cut and I made corduroy lint fly all over the kitchen - a good companion to the dog hair I had to vacuum up anyway.
Hours later he says, "I sure hope my new quilt has red in it"
Which led to a very entertaining facebook rant and banter. When he saw the look on my face he did quickly add - "or not"
And then last night when he was all jammed up and ready for bed he asks, "So where is my quilt, I'm ready for bed"
I told him that, honey - these things take time. They're a lot of work.
So he says, "Then you should be sewing!"
Today I'll sew.
And I'll add in the red I was cutting after he fell asleep.
****
I'll also hang the calendars - I couldn't get myself to do it until we go the routine back.
Time to wake the kids!!

You're a good mom.
