I'm already having moments of - man, why didn't I do this last year?
I love this type of scrapbooking. I love catching the every day moments and having a place to instantly transfer the fun little things that I hope to remember when I'm 92. And there's no doubt in my mind that if the old folks home that the kids put me in only allows me to bring one album - it'll be this one.
And I'm only one week in. Ha!
But I love every day.
My favorite album prior to this was when I combined photo a day in August with layout a day. So this is the same thing on a grander scale.
And depending on what Allan does after high school - it could very well be the last full year that we have all four kids at home.
That doesn't make a lick of sense.
The album I am using is an old Scrapworks album. Remember them? Are they still around? I love this box style album, and hope the whole year fits into it, but I won't stress if it doesn't. Until I have to decide which half of the year to bring to the nursing home when I'm 92.
A lot of these pictures you've already seen as part of my photo a day project. While January in this house is quieter than most months, with six of us running schedules and hobbies - the weeks are still full.
The January tag was from an old project that never quite launched. I'm glad to be using it here - I'll include the month tag on the first page of each month. On the lines, I'm just writing little jots of what happened that day. Wendy spent the night at Mollys, Wendy and Dad went to carving class, Allan went to the Hartland Pool.
I love little memory jogs.
I also used a journaling tag to tell about Brian's request for a heavy quilt.
A Costco receipt.
Little ditties for the week: My husband worked long hours in Flat Rock, we got news that my cousin Eric is engaged, and a friend heard via facebook that I had banana muffins in the oven and made it over while they were still warm.
I love these sorts of things.
The other tag tells of a funny pronunciation of Brian's. We're using it now: Fo-Ken-Trate. (Focus and Concentrate combined) It took me a bit to figure it out - and he got a giggle when he realized what he had done.
It's good stuff.
I've already started on week 2.

Other stuffs:
As soon as I'm done with this post, I plan to put up another table in my kitchen. I have so many fun things and projects I want to work on this week, that I want two whole tables to myself.
The trick will be to make room for them....
Wish me luck!

hugagize is our combined word, evan came up with it last summer (apologize and hug)...it kind of makes sense.
