I'm in

Day One: Self Portrait
The 5 yr old wanted to be in on the photo too, and after a dozen attempts, too lazy to switch my lens - and some gut busting giggles, this is what we got. We're reading Steve Kellogg's Johnny Appleseed - cuz March is reading month and Steve Kellogg is a favorite. 

Yvonne, who was one of the funner babysitters that I had growing up, (I still remember her ostrich impression) is gathering up a bunch of friends to play along with a photo a day photo challenge in March. After seeing self-portraits pop up all day in my reader (you all look marvelous!), I decided that I'll give it a shot. It's fun to be playing with real life friends.

 

HOWEVER. 

I'm also doing a photo a day over at Katrina's Capture your 365 - and she also has daily prompts. While we've been online friends for years, I've never met her in real life yet, and I'm not sure if she can do an ostrich impression - but she's the one that helped me design my Christmas card a couple years ago. She's good people.  I've been loading my daily photos over there instead of flickr this year. 

Anyway.

I wrote both prompt lists side by side in my journal - I may blend them.  Today I went with the list that Yvonne is using. Katrina's for today was full of luck.  For March - get it?

Vetne also challenged me to another March Scrapness Layout Challenge - so I'll be getting more of my photos and adhesive to meet this month. Stay tuned!

I'm all about self portraits. I know it's so weird - or it feels weird. But, we're part of the story -- we were there, too! it's important -- we're the only ones holding ourselves back! :)

Or, just get some teeth pulled at the dentist!! ;) Just kidding -- the blog spam convo is still making me smile. :)

Hmmm. I don't do an ostrich but I have an AWESOME marmot impression! So, so glad to have you as part of CY365 and thanks for the super kind comments. We do need to meet IRL.
