My mom came on Saturday - she'll be staying with us until Friday or Saturday
I love capturing the 365 (or in the case of this year - 366). While this is my 3rd or 4th year starting it, I'm hoping that this will be the first year that I actually capture all 366 days. So far so good....92 days in. This is about the time of the year that I begin to struggle. That many days will be right before midnight shots....
but so far so good!
A favorite place to be: I love when I find the time to get on my bike.
What I find really helps keep me on track with my 365, is sharing and playing with others who are also doing the same thing - and I love prompts. I check in every day at Capture Your 365, and my album there is up to date. Katrina posts a prompt list each month and you can see Aprils list here. Do I use the prompts daily? no. Do I use the prompts on the days they are supposed to be used? Sometimes yes and sometimes no.
What I love about the 365 is that I'm photographing things I might otherwise have not. A bit of home, a daily routine, a bit of my bike, grandma on her Kindle - as well as the events, the visitors, the change of seasons and at the end of the year I notice the growth and the routines.
Sometimes I'm artistic, sometimes I'm prompt motivated, and many times I'm racing the clock to get a photo before midnight. What I love is the end result. Multiple times I've used my 365 albums as a visual reference to help me quickly remember when this or that happened - a missing tooth, a broken foot, and that sort of thing.

eta: since several of you have mentioned the pvc shoe storage already - I was inspired by one I had found on Pinterest, but I don't believe there was a tutorial with it. A few notes - while I like it - it wasn't cheap. I think we spent over $80 on what you see here, and while it works well for the kid's shoes and my sandals or thin dress shoes, I can't fit a pair of my husbands shoes or my bigger shoes into one tube.
I'll share more about it later - on the run right now. :)

The pvc shoe tubes are genius!! How are they fastened together? Enjoy your time with mom. :)

I second the thought on those PVC tubes! I think we need a tutorial on those! Do you mind if I pin your photo to Pinterest?? I have already showed my husband that photo as we are always struggling to find a way to solve our shoe issue.
I too use my Project 365 as a visual reference for our daily life. Hang in there, you'll be able to get through the spring. The satisfaction of completing a full year is beyond exciting.

Your photos are really inspiring. I love when you 'flood' the gallery. LOL. Getting to peek inside everyone's homes and lives is so much fun.
My favorite shot of yours is the one taken of your family from above. It's perfection.
Have a great day!

Thanks for sharing!! From the outside looking in - your shots are always fabulous and you make it look easy! Even those racing against the clock shots are fabulous and seem intentional!

I'm joining the group of those interested in those pvc pipes!
I love the warmth and depth of your pictures. They always remind of my family and my life. Love how I connect with you through just a few pictures.

I have to agree - POTD projects make for great research! I can always recall what was going on during a period of time by looking at my POTDs. I like your candid, relaxed shooting style.

i love your pictures, I think we have the same mindset of capturing what life is like right now.

I hope we can all manage to push through and keep going. This is about the time of year that I quit last time I tried this, but I don't feel like quitting thisyear -- I feel even more energized, especially when I get to share and visit with so many others on this same journey.
I always enjoy it when you post in the gallery, and I've now got your blog in my Reader -- good luck!
