hey look, I made a mess

This was my kitchen at about 10am yesterday. 

And 11 am

And noon

And 1pm

Ugh. Our cupboard doors have been off for just over two years and I am done. DONE. I am so sick of dust in my cupboards I could dance on my tip toes through the center of town. screaming. I have HIT the wall. Hard. 

Done. 

So yesterday, instead of kayaking or sewing or creating or eating bon-bons, I sanded all the base cupboards. It took me 3.5 hours. It took me another 1.5 hours to clean up before the kids got home, despite all my preventative measures - aka: sheets on the top cupboards. Washed all those - got them on the line in time to dry and fold back up and put away for the next time. 

And then the kids came home, and a I took a fiver, and I mowed the lawn, and I ran to the store and got milk and stuff, and I assembled an entire 20 page Shutterfly album before my coupon expired, and I crashed. 

Today will be similar. 

Today I will prime all the cupboards.  My husband will paint the cupboards tomorrow (an eggshell white of sorts. my goal is to make the kitchen feel bigger. trickery. We're also putting in butcher block counters. Someday)
 And get everything ready to be sitting on a plane this time tomorrow. Getting everything ready means getting me ready - 10% and getting my family ready for my departure 90%. 

Remind me - WHY did I schedule my flight out so early?  (flying to my cousin's wedding) 

I'll be disconnected Friday through Sunday.  

Time to get busy....
