If I had to rank the holidays in order of like, Halloween would not be at the top. Costumes and wig hair all over the house for 31 plus days? Meh.
But the kids seem to enjoy it. Last night was party number 1 for the season. It was Brian's event to attend. It's an event that my husband normally attends, but it was yesterday that the on again off again Canada thing finally happened. Because that's the way things work around here.
So off we went.
The event was for the Sunday School boys from second through eighth grades. (The girl's party is next Monday)
There are a lot of boys - they get split into three groups. This is the 6/7/8th grade circle.
It's hard to get a picture that captures how many boys there really are.
Taking a photo of all the candy bags seemed easier. They each get one.
They waltz about the circle and see if they get guessed. The second/third grade circle always takes the longest because they don't know each other's names so well yet.
(And yes - for those that are wondering - that's Bruce)
Guessing was taking almost the entire 1 hour 45 minutes of party time - so they finally gathered the last fifteen/sixteen boys and just started throwing out names.
They scrounged up prizes for the last six/seven instead of just the last two - time was running out. Brian was pumped to have made the prize category.
Here is all - haHA - I was sitting right next to you the whole time and you didn't know it was me!
pumped.
-----
As for today -
- no Halloween parties
- supposed to be - what - 77?1
- checking out a bike this morning - for me. nothing fancy - found it in on a garage sale list
- bringing Allan to a college interview this afternoon
- at about the same time Greg will be coming home from Canada
Happy Wednesday!

Well thank God. I thought I was the only one on earth besides my husband who could live without Halloween. I think it may be because costumes and trick-or-treating for 5 kids was a giant pain in the rear. Whatever the reason, I am just more of a Christmas girl at heart I guess. What IS your favorite holiday, Sharyn?
