It was wet.
It was cold.
We had about a third of the beggars than we've had the last few years.
Mark is not in this photo because at the time we were taking this photo, he was melting down in the living room, all tangled up in his firefly costume. (that's actually really a hummingbird costume, but he thinks and WANTS it to be a firefly, and if any of you dare to tell him otherwise - a hex on you) (Halloween lingers....) It was not pretty.
Brian wanted to wear the cardboard costume in the rain. I did some last minute trimming of the bottom so his knees would be able to flex for stairs. I'm forward thinking like that.
Wendy had companions - the neighbor girl and friends Molly and Emily.
Wendy's dad made the tiara's late the night before Halloween when the last minute costume decider batted her eyelashes, tilted her head and did the "daddy, would you....." thing. I'll give her this much - it seems to work.
We had some fun surprise company....Greg's youngest sister Teresa and her almost one year old Grayson.
Al and Grayson enjoyed a bonding moment
As for me? I'll be glad to pack up Halloween today.
And I *might* be game to go check out after Halloween sales before I pack. That is, if I can find where my kids hide their cash flow. My new debit card still hasn't shown up.....
hrmph.
