Handmade Christmas ornament from Granny Pennala - 2002

Today I'm working on taking down the Christmas tree. I promised my husband that I'd try and get it down before he got home, and then I told him not to hurry. 

The ornaments are one thing the kids and husband know I don't want help with. I enjoy dusting each of the ornaments off (they get awfully dusty having been on the tree for a month) packaging each one, making sure each one is labelled and put into the correct kid's ornament box. I like the trip down memory lane and I enjoy the process. 

It's therapeutic.

I'm the same way, Sharyn. I want to be able to "do it right" and not have things dirty or broken or left on the tree to get thrown out with it.
