It's been a weird week.
Greg worked Monday, then took the rest of the week off.
Wendy was home sick two days.
And today is a no school day.
Hard to keep track of the days. Speaking of days - I'm still working on regaining the four that I lost. I gained a bit more unexpected ground this morning when I had planned to run errands - but a broken water heater had me keeping the boys out of my husband's hair. I used the time to find my desk and counter. Paperwork overwhelms me daily. It piles up SO fast.
Meanwhile - Greg enjoyed his time off to get some carving done (and paint another wall, and fix the water heater)
The Santa above is mine. He carves me one every year. This is my new favorite. The Chuck Norris lookalike Santa is still in my top three.
And this is how we dry the carvings. The reindeer are for the kids. He carves them an ornament or decoration every year. I haven't asked him who the arks are for. He doesn't always know.
We've gotten several emails asking if he's doing any special requests this year, and unfortunately for this year - no. The time constraints and his work schedule have been too much to take on anything extra that he might not be able to follow through on. He still has two or three Kentucky trips taking place before Christmas.
(ugh - pray for safe driving conditions)
And that's that.
He's just reported that he thinks he was able to fix the water heater (again) without having to replace it.
Buying time. Story of our lives....
eta: and my apologies about the comment section/signing in/etc. I took down the barriers and within minutes I got hit with a dozen spam comments - so back went the barriers. so frustrating.
