Ok...ever since I first saw the carvings I immediately thought of a museum I frequented in NYC when I lived there, the American Folk Art museum...http://folkartmuseum.org/ So, now the giant bear holding a table pops up and yep, again, I'm thinking, his stuff absolutely holds its own with what I've seen in there, and should at the very least be photographed and sent in...then I recall...well, wow...that guy's wife is a photographer...how 'bout that! (-:

Here's a little more about the place: http://folkartmuseum.org/about/

Poke around the site, but really, I've been there and have just instantly felt that the creativity, uniqueness and skill of his work really, truly should at the very least be passed by their eyes at least once. What could it hurt?

Plus...my 11 year old has been a little gaga over pocket/carving knives and I may have mentioned, "maybe we could get this expert carver I know of to lead a carving class someday..."

Finally...raise your hand if you're still not on any other social media so that leaving comments on a blog is novel once again...(-:
