Okay - here it is. I worked out the fine details today. I have to tell you - I totally got this idea from the fabulous Lisa Russo (who needs to come to Michigan and shoot photos of my family) and with her permission, I merely changed the schedule/chores and size - I needed a 12 x 12 format, and made it work for us. And we'll see if it works for us...right now the kids are pretty excited
Can you read that, or should I make it bigger. I think (with typepads changes) you should still be able to click on the photos to see them bigger. Let me know....I can try to accommodate. :)
My last blurbs got cut off - I somehow deleted them in my revision but they state
- The regular dishes and sweeping schedule does not apply to the points chart - those are just normal routine
- Other chores will come up from time to time and those points will be negotiated at that time
Make sense? So each day, they continue to do their dishes/sweeping and those aren't points - those are just part of their day. Putting away clothes is also expected and not on the chart. Before going out to play, however, they must do 3 points worth of chores. This is similar to what we did last summer - we just didn't do points. I'm curious how the points will work for us this year - especially with the taking away system.
And now I have to just figure out how to stay organized and counting. I'm considering using the abacus or a dry erase board for daily tallies....we'll see how it goes and just go with the flow. :)
