to you and yours
Some random:
- Our eggs are colored - I had nearly forgotten, but phew..didn't. As you can see...a little spica cast doesn't stop us
- I offically hate tylenol 3 with codeine. It scares the crap out of me.
- We're still waiting for a bowel movement - how much ya wanna bet it happens while I'm at church tomorrow? heh. Brian and I - we have an understanding
- Our baskets are filled (thank you Leslie!!) and I didn't snitch a bit.
- Sometimes I fib
- Tonights my turn to get some sleep - I'm looking forward to it
- My biggest worry right now is when the bigs and Pa go back to work and school and I'm home alone with two needy boys. Pa's mom is coming on Monday - and so is the Leapster, so perhaps that's the only day I need to worry about
- Oh - and remind me to cancel Brian's dentist appointment next Wednesday - he so doesn't need that right now
- Markie, however, is getting tubes on Thursday...that promises to be another tricky feat. He did make it to his appointment this last Thursday and found out his hearing is pretty well shot, just like his mother's, and his ears are chock full of gunk.
- Markie hasn't jumped the fence yet, but not for lack of trying
- Pa drew the short straw and had to run to Meijers today to buy, amongst a zillion other things, size small Depends as per the doctor's suggestion for taking care of Brian's needs right now. Pa came home with Poise thin panty liners. Poor thing. I can just imagine how flustered he was in that aisle...most I laughed all week.
- Speaking of Pa, we'll be putting some carvings up for silent auction in the next few days. It had been on my list of things to do on Wednesday and, well, we know how that day went.
- Wendy and Al went to church with grandpa and grandma tonight - we weren't feeling ready for either of us to parent singlehandedly yet - and Wendy got to wear her new dress that I had picked up a couple weeks ago. She said, "It's a pretty good thing you picked this dress mom, it matches my eyes perfectly" oh groan. She's been more flighty than usual lately.
- grandpa and grandma are coming over to help Pa when I go in for church tomorrow - so don't be worrying about him, we're covered.
- My throat is feeling much better this evening. Not perfect, but much better. Like 89% better.
- Someone asked how long the cast is expected to stay on - we'll know more in two weeks. In two weeks we take him in for an x-ray to make sure everything is still set and it's healing. At that time they'll make the 4 or 6 week call.
- I lost 4 lbs in one week. :P Totally not a recommended route tho
- I have approximately 100 email messages flagged - slowly but surely....I appreciate each and every one. thank you!
'nite!
be good
That's the best laugh I had all week too! Who went back for the Depends?

so good to hear you sounding like you're settling back in there....wow. Tubes too, huh? Take it a day at a time, and enjoy your Easter!

That was GREAT! I laughed so hard that Brian and Tim came in to see what was so funny..... and after explaining, the 12 year old Tim still didn't get it :)
So glad to hear you are feeling better and that you are getting help. Sounds like the littles will need some one-on-one for a bit.
My best to you and if there is anything you need that can be done from WA please don't hesitate to yell.
Bless you and a very happy and peaceful Easter to you!

you are a great mom and it is going to be such a wonderful record for your whole family that you're recording the whole process ---- and I'm looking forward to a shot of Wendy in that dress that matches her eyes :) and 4 pounds? I hope you got some sleep last night.

Happy Easter, Sharyn! I'm dying over the Poise vs. Depends! You guys are really getting hit in all directions... Feel better, take care of yourself, and keep laughing. I have a silly question and don't go out of your way to answer... can Brian lay on his back at all or is he belly-bound until the cast comes off? Oh and will he graduate to a cast that is only on one leg as his injured leg heals?
Good luck with Mark's tubes and my fingers and toes are crossed that things are only going to get better for all of you!

Happy Easter. Poor Pa, but I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall in Meijers at that moment. Hoping that things will just get better from here. Congrats on the weight loss!

CONGRATS on the weight loss, tho it wasn't in the plan it was still a "good thing" right.

Hope each day is alittle better routine wise, with all that you have on your plate I don't know how you do it.

Things are looking like they are rockin' and rollin' right along at the Tormster's house! Good to know you have your sense of humor through it all!

I'd have paid dearly to see Dad studying the panty liners...Hee hee. YOU, I think, are going to pay dearly for posting it on the wwweb! I'm anxious to see a picture of Brian in the stroller. Sounds impossible to me. With kids, anything is possible, I guess.

The Leapster will be perfect!!! Let me know what games he gets.

Very funny! Good thing I didn't have a mouth full of coffee when I read that. Glad to see there's still humor at your house thru it all. Hang in there!

We're going through the same thing as you; our son broke his leg the 16th of February. It's been a real learning experience!
