I got so caught up in my day - (and I ended up spending time wondering WHERE my middle schooler was come 3:00) (the bus decided to flip the route this year. ugh) (I mean, seriously, can you believe that? He can walk home in just over 20 minutes and yet it took AN HOUR for the bus to come home) (I hope it's not going to stay that way because it totally botches up our after school schedule) (I mean seriously - I was out the door to get my elementary kid just five minutes after he got home!) (sigh) (The last two years we've had an hour between him and his sister coming home - so today was ridiculous) (vent over - really) - that I completely forgot to share the aforementioned layout with you.
I was honored to guest design over here. I love guest designing. I've done it all of three times now. (Time number four coming soon - I'm on a roll! Stay tuned!!) But seriously, guest designing is great - It's a great opportunity to try new things, play a new challenge, get to know new people. I'm completely hooked, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to partake in this one.
These was my assigned color combination. I chose two colors, and the other two were assigned to create a four color pallete. I've been on a mission to add more color to my pages this past year, so this was perfect for me.
And this is the layout I created. There is a margin/border on the bottom too - but my scanner is too small, so that gets lopped of in that process. Use your imagination. Can you read the journaling? Here it is, just in case:
It’s our annual “hey, look at all the grandkids in one place, let’s get a photo” photo. Our second year running – and already we’ve grown, adding Aubrey to the mix this year and getting our first teenager.
The kids love how this works out – Allan looks forward to spending time at Aho’s camp (in hopes that Wyatt will be there) almost as much as Wendy does – who enjoys spending time with Elizabeth in different surroundings.
On this night we all met at mom’s for pasty dinner, and the kids played – and the kids enjoyed badminton, comics, bike riding, playing chase – they didn’t enjoy the bee stings (W – 5, E – 1)
Lots of memories at grandma’s house - and time spent with cousins – it doesn’t get much better.
I take that back – we’re hoping to convince Terri to get her children into the photo one of these years to make it complete – that would definitely be better.
Cute layout. I could not have done a lo in that color palette, probably. Looked wacky to me when you showed it, and then I saw your layout and said, "that's perfect"!

Love the layout! That color combo is awesome! I really like how you used black to make the other colors pop! Those "action" shots are the best!
