While blog hopping (a favorite hobby of mine) - I happened upon this entry on Cath's blog and instantly knew - I had to try it! So I did. I'm no match for Cath's exacto knife skills, but it was fun to pretend and play. I'm not done yet - I want to finish the fence and do the other window - but I'll leave it like this for now - until I know how much the little boys will pick at it. I'm suspecting that Markie won't let it last long, it might have to move upstairs. But for now - fun to enjoy. :)
eta: Just a few notes. By 8am this morning, there is a hole down near the bottom by the fence where a certain near 2 year old wanted to get his look at the garbage truck fix
Also - the tissue is blue - nearly the same color as Cath used - this is just how it photographed last night in the rain. Cold rain.
I'm also thinking I might check at the Paper Factory to look at their tablecoths - if some are thin enough to pass as tissue and that would get rid of the seam in the middle.
Brian has declared that it is Cweeepy
Very cool!

You go, Torm! I LOVE that you're giving this a try! This is one of my family's favorite things of Halloween--hope yours enjoys it, too. And I LOVE that you've used the yellow-orange tissue paper. Gives it a nice, eerie glow (can you use "nice" and "eerie" in the same sentence?)
PS I am so flattered by your title. But I will admit, I feel a little like I'm in Wayne's World, bowing down, saying "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!"
If/when you finish the window(s), be sure and send me a pic! I'd love to see it!

I am such a Cath wanna be, too! But alas, I haven't the patience that either of you have. Looks freakin' fabulous, though!

Oh wow, that looks so cool! I just saw something similar on another blog recently and thought I'd like to give it a try. Not this year, but I filed it away for future reference. It's such an awesome idea!
