Mondays
The only Monday problem that I have is that I can't do things fast enough. I have literally tripped over my own two feet trying to hustle from one thing to the next. The clock moves too quickly on Mondays. I'm currently trying to do seventeen things at once, and I'm thinking about 50 more.
One thing I'm thinking about is the above quilt. I'm teasing you with it now - but I'll share more when I can dig into it. It goes with that new fabric I bought last week. Have I piqued your interest? *good*
Some Monday catch-up notes:
- Thank you for all the kind comments on yesterday's post (you have until Tuesday midnight to enter - there's still time). There were many comments on the postage border and I realized that I neglected to link it. That border is part of the FUNdamental Postage Frames. They are very very fun.
- Our van died yesterday. I was so confused because I brought my mom to the carpool for 8:30, and I saw my husband headed towards Sunday School when I was headed back home. And yet, when I got back home after a quick stop at Meijers - there was our van in the driveway. Barely made it. We ordered parts and hope to fix it tomorrow night after they come in. (We're 98% sure that it's the catalytic converter)
- Which will make tomorrow fun. I have to walk to story hour, then try to make it from story hour to my haircut appointment. I know I can do it, just not sure if my four year old's legs can move quick enough. I'm regretting getting rid of that Burley.
- I haven't had my hairs cut since before my brother Kevin's wedding last November. The lady I like seems to think that Florida is the place to be in the winter. This year I thought I'd surprise her. My hair is the longest it's been since 1992. You can see it in my new profile picture over there on the right. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to tell her to do with it tomorrow - her first day back on the job.
- I've mentioned several times in the last few weeks that these months are my heavy card making months. Some of what I made recently can be seen here and hmmm...not finding the others right now. I'll update when I track them down. They were my first attempt with the Cricut - and I had fun.
- I was giddy yesterday morning when I realized that I lost 2 pounds while my mom was here to visit. While we ate out twice during her stay (eating out is pretty rare for me) I was very calorie conscious and still managed to get in some exercise most days. I'm now down 18 pounds since Christmas and actually had fun in the dressing room last week. Unheard of!

Random from the week:
On the way to Costco
Me: Mom, will you write thin buns on my shopping list?
My Mom: You mean skinny butts?
Hey I have a box full of real vintage 'St fair ribbons' that you used on one of your showcased cards. Fun to see a simular thing being used!

Love, love, love reading your blog. Huge congrats on losing 18 lbs!!! That is absolutely fantastic! Your new profile pic is very pretty, too. So sorry you have experienced so much car trouble - not fun at all!
