I didn't get many pictures at all yesterday.
In my album, it'll end up being a heavy journal day to make up for it.
I've gotten into the routine of going to work in the office on Mondays and Fridays. I don't bring a lunch, because I don't intend to stay all day, but I pack a few snacks. I was there for just over five hours yesterday. Part of why I didn't get many pictures.
The only people in the building were myself, Karen - the librarian, maintenance and custodial.
I don't wear my mask when I'm working at my desk alone. The last executive order update that I read stated that we only need to wear it at work if we can't maintain a six foot distance from other people. That's what I'm going by.
I didn't get a picture of myself actually working, but it was one of those days that I got a lot done. I left feeling like I accomplished something.
Our office is set for a remodel over summer vacation, so we've been emptying it out a little bit more every time we go in, while still preparing for the normal end of school year tasks.
I left work at about 1:15.
I cross this track hundreds of times a year, but rarely get stopped by it.
I'd been wanting to try Gordon's for grocery pick up. They advertise same day service.
We were only out of a few things - bananas, avocados and bread, and I knew they had all those. I had placed my order Thursday night, and set pick up for the 1-2 time slot as I figured that's when I'd leave work.
Slick. I called the number, they came out and loaded it up for me.
It wasn't long after I got home that the sirens started blaring, and Zoom meetings all around the block were instantly canceled. Someone was celebrated. There were a few familiar faces that drove by. Deputy Lockhart got my attention over her speaker, but I couldn't hear what she said after that. I did learn that they did three celebrations yesterday. There were State, City, Sheriff, Ambulance, DNR, friends, and a whole lotta balloons. Fun.
My mom missed it, but she came over shortly after that to borrow my clothesline. She's been cranking out the projects during quarantine.
Mark and I walked over to her place shortly after that to join her for Friday night fish fry. I can't make that a weekly habit, but it is enjoyable.
I like that the pick up order forms are started to include 'walking' as one of the vehicle choices. The struggle has been real.

The sun came out last evening, and I got a few windowsills and window screens cleaned.
Talked to Wendy for a bit yesterday
Still no mail. So strange.

Today - the sun is shining
I hope to get more detail photos.
The plan, so far, is to get the lawn mowed, some clothes on the line, the windows washed, and a few more chores.
Happy Saturday!
