The rain made for a quieter day with fewer photos.
I started the day with a live Zoom workout again. Two days in a row.
The thunder was booming.
I wish I had gotten a picture of Brian when he came down the stairs. Like his mother, he loves a good storm. He was grinning ear to ear.
Rocket? Not so much. Total head to toe shakes.
It's pretty rare that he sneaks up next to me in my recliner.
Two days in a row that we didn't get any mail. That's actually really strange.
Rainy day electronic time.
Mark on egg cleaning duty.
We go through eggs faster than we did back in normal life.
Finally!!
We live in a small home. With four of us suddenly working and schooling from home, we've had to consider things like posture and spacing. We ordered a desk and chair for Mark a few weeks ago. The desk came quick. The chair? Multiple delays.
Once we got the desk set up, he was able to move from doing his Zoom meetings and homework from a slouched position in his bed over to a folding chair and his desk. This chair just provides a bit more support and comfort.
At home learning: Read the directions, find the tools, let us know if you need help.
Every other Thursday is Schwan's Day.
We've always ordered a few things regularly, but we're enjoying it even more now in the current situation.
We never know what we'll get anymore as everything has been listed as out of stock. The rule is - order anyway, as it may be in stock on delivery day. Last time, I ordered about 20 things, and they only had one item to deliver.
This time I ordered about 20 things, and we got all but one.
We ran my mom's portion of the order over to her.
A new storm shelter.
Rainy day = more Rummikub, our quarantine go to game. I think we played game 34 yesterday. We often play 2-3 games at a sitting. We only played two last night as Mark and I still had some homework to review.
Other:
- Mark had a Zoom meeting with his speech therapist at 10.
Mark at 9:55 AM: I should probably get some pants on - I always notice an uptick in mood after the boys have Zoom meetings. They enjoy connecting.
- I still wasn't as motivated as I had hoped to be, but I moved around a little bit more than the previous day. I also did some reading.
- When I wrote yesterday that my Wednesday night bi-monthly meeting had been cancelled, it occurred to me that this started two months ago. Two months ago I attended that meeting and there was a buzz in the air. There were lighthearted mentions about not shaking hands. I went straight from that meeting to the Boys Varsity Basketball playoffs. I stayed for both games because even then, I felt like they may be the last games I attend for awhile.
I worked on getting permission to photograph a game played without spectators, should that happen.
There was a vibe of uncertainty in the air.
Two months ago. It feels like yesterday, and it feels like a lifetime ago - at the same time.
