Have I mentioned that it's been a busy month?
Soccer banquet last night. All kinds of things going on at school today - to the point I was there for 7-1/2 hours, but only worked 2-1/4 hours. I ended up ordering Jimmy Johns for lunch. Tomorrow I'm taking my second personal day, but I'll be spending the whole day with the fifth graders. Whatchya gonna do, right?
But back to last week. Someone asked if I ever make cards anymore, and the answer is yes. And, as per my usual, I make them at the last minute. For this year's graduation cards I took advantage of a free offer from Shutterfly, and ordered a deck of cards. They arrived the very day of our first graduation party of the season.
This was a photo that I took last fall when luck had my turn in the hot air balloon launching from the front lawn of the high school. I'd been wanting this shot for awhile for exactly this reason.
With a sentiment on the inside and very little time to get fancy on the outside - I let the photo do most of the work.
It made my day to have one of the three recipients tell me that they loved it and saved it.
I figure I have enough to get through the next few years when Wendy graduates. If I don't lose them to the stacks and piles on my desk..
